The Twig is open on Shopping Days
for children in foster care to come and shop for free.
Children in foster care are eligible to shop once every calendar month
while they are in care with a supervising agency.
Our store is stocked with new and like new merchandise that is selected
to reflect the latest trends for children newborn through teens.
Every month, each child is welcome to select seven items, along with
undergarments, socks, a book, and accessories.

Please note, we are unable to accept donations during our shopping days as this is a special time just for the children in foster care.

We have a heart for youth who have aged out of foster care.
Many are facing incredible obstacles, and we want to be part of helping them overcome the odds.
What happens when these young people "age out" of the system?
25% will have no high school diploma
50% will be unemployed by the age of 24
25% will be involved in the justice system within two years
71% of young women will be pregnant by 21
20% will be homeless after the age of 18
But it doesn't have to be this way.
What if these young people knew there were people cheering them on?
People who believe in them?
People who care?
We may not be able to change their circumstances, but we might be able to bring a little hope into their lives.
We are doing this every month through our Rooted program.

Twig Kids, ages 18-21, who have aged out of foster care in the state of Florida can request a TwigBox care package once a month to be shipped to them, wherever they are.
We will fill these boxes with essential items like hygiene products - but also with some fun treats to brighten their day. $35 will provide a young person with
a Twigbox this month. Would you like to sponsor a Twigbox? Would you like to purchase items for our TwigBoxes?

Twig Connects is a monthly meeting for young adults, age 15-21, to connect with other young adults who have been impacted by aging out of foster care or out of home care.
This time will include a speaker on an independent living skill topic, dinner, and a time to shop for themself at one of our store locations.

Our Twig Tribe program was created to support relative and non-relative caregivers who have stepped into the caregiving role of a minor child(ren) without the support or resources of the traditional foster care system.
We provide a monthly support meeting which includes speakers and resources to help them navigate this journey, as well as an opportunity to shop at The Twig's boutique for the children they are caring for.
