Dianne is a visionary who is not afraid to dream big. As an adoptive mother, she knew the needs of children in foster care and wanted to do something to help. Drawing on her past experiences in merchandising, design, and non-profit leadership, she created a space where children in foster care could have their needs met in a way that brought them dignity and encouragement. She created a truly magical place, and stays involved in every aspect of the organization. She spends countless hours behind the scenes overseeing all aspects of marketing, fundraising, and program development for The Twig - while also getting her hands dirty (sometimes literally) through sorting clothing and organizing the store itself. Her vision and hard work have made her dreams into reality - creating a place where children in foster care could be encouraged and inspired. Dianne and her husband Lloyd have been married for over 40 years.
As a retired vice-president of a financial Fortune 500 company, Roger brings a wealth of business insight to the board. Prior to his corporate experience, Roger served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. He holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Maryland and has served on the board of numerous non-profit organizations over the years. Roger and his wife Sue have servant hearts and spend countless hours volunteering with The Twig, Operation Christmas Child, Operation Heal Our Patriots, and many other organizations.
Janet comes to us with many years of merchandising experience as the former co-owner of a successful children's boutique. Her knowledge has helped make The Twig shopping days run smoothly and has helped make the space one that is both inviting and organized. Janet spends many hours working at The Twig behind the scenes, from spending time in the warehouse to interacting with volunteers. She is deeply involved in the Venice community and is a former board member of Venice Main Street.
